When Delta caught up with Kashin Koji, she reacted in the same way Kashin Koji did. And now it seems like she might have the same idea as Kashin Koji for the first time in a while. This happened after they saw Boruto’s Karma, and this meant that they have now found Momoshiki’s vessel. Kashin Koji found this interesting enough to a point where he decided to abandon his mission and observe what will happen. Then Boruto went and made his first contact with Kawaki in the anime. When the anime started, Kawaki appeared as the center of attention for Boruto Naruto Next Generations. Since then, we have been waiting to see Kawaki appear in both anime and manga for about four years. The manga has not even touched on anything towards the scene where Kawaki destroys Konoha, and it has been too long ever since. Instead, the anime has given us a glimpse into Kawaki’s past and what had happened to him up until this point. Boruto Episode 189 will give us more on that end. But for now, it looks like the anime will build more Delta and Koji’s next move. The next episode will be streaming on Crunchyroll.
Kawaki’s Past: Kara’s Test Subject
The beginning of the last episode of Boruto saw a flashback into Kawaki’s past as he lay unconscious on the ground. Then we saw Kawaki’s past just after he has passed the test as the vessel. It looks like he was the next person to take the tests after Garo, who failed. Garo participated in the tests as well. And it looks like it was out of his free will as he was told that he would get power. Garo still seems to be power-hungry and could do anything to get that power. Now Delta promised him that he would be promoted to an Inner if he could defeat and bring back Kawaki. That is the kind of past that Kawaki and Garo share. And we also got to see Jigen’s first meeting with Kawaki. Kawaki has grown to a point where he is terrified of Jigen based on how he has treated him. It looks like Jigen bought Kawaki from his father. Based on how the person treated him, he probably wasn’t his parent and was running some human trafficking schemes. Now we know that Kara has been looking for a vessel, and out of all the people and child tested. Kawaki is the only one who was suitable. And now, as Kara’s valuable vessel, Kashin Koji went to retrieve him. After witnessing another vessel, which Kara has found in a hard way, it is almost impossible. Kashin Koji even abandoned his mission and now observes Boruto, the second vessel. Then Delta appeared, and both of them have reacted in the same way. And now, she no longer considers retrieving Kawaki as a priority anymore.
Kawaki’s Future and The Leaf Village
Boruto and his team came across Kawaki, who thought they are from Kara. But after Garo appeared, it looks like he might trust them. But first, Kawaki will have to deal with Garo, something which even if he cant do, they might gladly help out. With Koji and Delta observing from a distance, we still not sure what they will do after Garo is defeated. This is where we will see what they will do next. Will, they let Boruto and his team leave with Kawaki to the left. Or if they have other ideas, then we will see their decision in the next episode.
